Carrie Fisher – RIP

For 45 years, Carrie Fisher battled with various addictions. She died in December, 2016 and the results of her autopsy were revealed last Monday. Evidently, alcohol, heroin, cocaine, and ecstasy were found in her system giving a strong indication of the demons she was fighting. Unfortunately, to me she represents a classic example of the [...]

Mass Killings: The Elephant in the Room

I will not belabor the multiple issues blamed for the repeated pre-planned killings throughout this country and the rest of the world. I actually think that there are multiple causes, and the elimination of one or even two causative factors will not eliminate the ultimate tragic results. The “New” Morning Sickness Pill

Many people probably remember thalidomide which was a popular sleeping pill prescribed for pregnant women starting in the 1940's because it was touted to help with morning sickness. It was eventually removed from the market after it had resulted in thousands of babies being born with skeletal abnormalities such as only having hands  without arms [...]

Adrenal Fatigue – Or Is It?

[The following is another chapter borrowed from my latest book: Adrenaline Dominance] Adrenal fatigue is a diagnosis used mostly in alternative medicine, usually among naturopathic physicians. The diagnosis is based on the theory that the adrenal gland, if under functioning, can fail to produce sufficient quantities of cortisol. Treatment often involves prescribing cortisol in addition to addressing diet, [...]

Making Breast Cancer Awareness More Meaningful

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  There is no debate about the fact that women should be aware of breast cancer since it is approaching epidemic proportions. At the turn of the last century, the incidence of breast cancer was about 1 in every 94 women. It is now 1 in every 8 women. The [...]

Robin Williams: Another Victim of Excess Adrenaline

It is very frustrating to know that there are thousands of people working in Hollywood who are suffering with problems related to excess adrenaline. This is a hormone that doctors, including psychiatrists, never talk about. Creative people are the one's with the most adrenaline. They suffer for years with adrenaline-induced depression, anxiety, insomnia, alcoholism, drug addiction, [...]

“Adrenaline Dominance”

I am pleased to be able to report that my latest book has just been released. It is appropriately named "Adrenaline Dominance", and it should be of interest to many of the readers of my blogs. I say this because the most commonly viewed blogs have been those about conditions associated with excess adrenaline. These include [...]

The following is a synopsis of many of the benefits of progesterone, some of which directly contribute to longevity in both sexes. Those benefits that may not promote a longer lifespan can instead lead to a significant improvement in the quality of life. Anti-estrogen Progesterone is best known as the hormone that blocks the detrimental [...]
